Professor Dr. Krassimir Metodiev, MD, Ph.D., DSc(Med), is Head of the Department of Preclinical and Clinical Sciences, Medical University, Varna, Bulgaria; President, IMAB; Vice-President, FESCI; Referent, UICC; and Director, ARW Bioterrorism, Scientific Affairs’ Division, NATO. His specialties are immunology and clinical microbiology. He has published 240 papers, IF 174.00, 7 books on medicine, and 2 books on poetry. He is editor in chief of the Journal of IMAB and editorial board member of IJIP, EJI, CEJM, JAA, and JISAO. He has attended 120 congresses worldwide, is a plenary speaker, and has been the chairperson of several sessions and workshops. He has been guest professor in Germany (Institute for Immunology, Munich); Austria (Danube University, Krems); Norway (The Norwegian Radium Hospital, Institute for Cancer Research, Oslo); and Israel (Hadassah-Jerusalem, Rambam-Haifa, Sheba-Tel Hashomer).

Hikmet Jamil has received his Medical degree from Baghdad University, MSc from London University and his PhD from Manchester University. He specializes in Occupational and Environmental Medicine. He has joined Michigan State University in 2015 after he left Wayne State University as an “Emeritus Professor”. He has published 20 books and 191 fi eld research articles. He has served as an international Visiting Lecturer and is one of the Founders of International Society of Iraqi Scientists and was elected in 2002 as its President until 2015. He has received several awards from academic institutions, non-profit organizations, the WHO and Governmental agencies.

Dr. Anil Mishra, PhD is Edward G. Schlieder Educational Foundation Endowed Chair and Professor of Medicine. He is also the Director of Tulane Eosinophilic Disorder Center in the Section of Pulmonary Diseases at Tulane University School of Medicine. Dr. Mishra's research established that eosinophils are the resident cells of the gastrointestinal tract that home prenatally (Mishra et al., J. Clin. Invest. 1999). He showed that eosinophil active chemokine eotaxin-1 constitutively expressed and has significant role for eosinophils homing into the gastrointestinal tract. He developed the first murine model of eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE) (Mishra et al., J. Clin. Invest. 2001). His findings implicated aeroallergen in the etiology of EoE and suggested that esophageal eosinophilic inflammation is mechanistically associated with pulmonary inflammation (J. Immunology 2002, and Gastroenterology, 2003). Most recently he reported that rIL-15 is a therapeutic molecule for the allergen-induced airway hyperactivity and fibrosis for chronic asthma and other pulmonary functional impairment. Dr. Mishra is an elected fellow of the American Academy of Allergy Asthma Immunology (FAAAAI) and the American Gastrointestinal Association (FAGA). He has published over 72 articles, book chapters and reviews on molecular mechanisms of pulmonary and gastrointestinal allergic responses in high impact factor journals. Dr. Mishra’ research is supported by The National Institutes of Health via NIDDK and NIAID institutes. Dr Mishra is also a member of several NIH study sections and serving Editor and Editorial Board member in a number of international journals.
