Biography
Giulio Tarro graduated from Medicine School, Naples University (1962). Research Associate, Division of Virology and Cancer Research, Children’s Hospital (1965-1968), Assistant Professor of Research Pediatrics, College Medicine (1968-1969), Cincinnati University, Ohio. Oncological Virology Professor, Naples University (1972-1985). Chief Division Virology (1973-2003), Head Department Diagnostic Laboratories, (2003-2006). D. Cotugno Hospital for Infectious Diseases, Naples; Emeritus, 2006 -. Since 2007 Chairman Committee of Biotechnologies and VirusSphere, World Academy Biomedical Technologies, UNESCO, Adjunct Professor Department Biology, Temple University, College of Science and Technology, Philadelphia, recipient of the Sbarro Health Research Organization lifetime achievement award (2010). President Foundation de Beaumont Bonelli for Cancer Research. His basic researches have been concerned with antigens induced early during the replication cycle of human herpesviruses. Another study has involved the identification, isolation and characterization of specific virus-induced tumour antigens, which were the "finger-prints" left behind in human cancer.Achievements include patents in field; discovery of Respiratory Syncytial Virus in infant deaths in Naples and of tumor liberated protein as a tumor associated antigen, 55 kilodalton protein overexpressed in lung tumors and other epithelial adenocarcinomas.

Dr. Rao, M.D,(Hon) Ph.D., worked as a professor of Medical Microbiology, Parasitology, Immunology, Virology and in many universities, many medical colleges in India, China, Nepal, Libya, Philippines and also worked as Head of the Department of Diseases, Immunity, and Therapeutics (DIT), Dean of Student Affairs and Director of Research at Avalon University School of Medicine, Curacao, Netherlands Antilles, Central America. Currently, Professor Rao working as Scientist, Emeritus and Director of research in Central research Laboratory, Apollo Institute Of Medical Sciences and Research, Hyderabad, Telangana, India and has more than 45 -years of teaching experience and taught 300.000 students. Basing on his outstanding experience and research Dr Rao was awarded M.D (Medicine & Medical Education) (Honorary ) from Avalon University, at Youngstown, Ohio,(US) on May/21/2017. Dr. Rao has been a part of 12 fellowships, received 37 certificates of honors, guided 4 students to Ph.D degrees, attended over 36 International & National Conferences, and published 90 research papers between 2015 – 2018, out of the 45 as main author and got Gold and Silver medals for some of his outstanding papers. Dr Rao authored and Chief Editor for 12 Medical textbooks. Professor Rao was an invited Keynote speaker for more than 45 international conferences all over the globe. He is Editor and Chief Editor for more than 44 international journals.Dr. Rao is a reviewer for many international journals Currently doing 8 Projects.
